The wine journey will take place from Wednesday to Saturday on the following two weeks this autumn:

Week 38: 17th–20th September 2025

Week 39: 24rd–27th September 2025

Below is a description of the journey itself, the wineries we will visit and the itinerary.

Wednesday

10:00 Sopot Winery - lunch and wine tasting

Nestled at the foot of the Veles hills, Chateau Sopot is a picturesque winery offering a blend of breathtaking scenery and exceptional wines. We will get a tour of the winery and its history prior to lunch in the midst of the vines. The winery is a 45 minute drive to the outskirts of the city of Veles.

18:00 Kamnik Winery - dinner and wine tasting

Kamnik is Macedonia’s most awarded winery, known for blending ancient traditions with modern winemaking. Founded in 2004, it quickly gained international acclaim, winning top honors at the 2013 Decanter Awards. With a capacity of 120,000 liters, Kamnik produces wines that reflect the spirit and soil of Macedonia in a contemporary style. The winery is located just outside Skopje, a short 15 minute drive.

Thursday

The Tikveš Winery is an esteemed winery in the Tikveš region, Macedonia’s wine heartland. The region has a centuries-old winemaking tradition dating back to the Roman Empire. Known for producing rich, vibrant wines, this legacy continues thanks to generations of skilled wine-growers and the visionaries behind Tikveš Winery.

Since 1885, Tikveš has combined ideal natural conditions with modern technology and expert craftsmanship to become the largest and most awarded winery in Southeastern Europe.

We will get insight into the region's wine-making traditions and innovations through a guided tour of the winery before tasting their wines that will be paired with a 4-course menu. The winery is located 1,5 hour scenic drive south of Skopje.

Discover Skopje’s unique blend of history and modern flair — from ancient fortresses and Ottoman bazaars in the old town, to grand neoclassical buildings, vibrant street life, and the legacy of Mother Teresa.

13:00 Lunch

Join us for lunch in the city of Skopje. We will explore some local specialities in the Old Town.

17:00 Brzanov Winery - dinner and wine tasting

Antonio Brzanov described himself as a hedonist and wine lover. In 2004 he started creating his artistic and unique wines that originate from the sunny vineyards of North-Macedonia. We will visit his vineyard and home and Antonio will prepare his culinary specialities that we will pair with his beautiful wines. His home is located 20 minutes from Skopje.

Saturday

Free time to explore Skopje or its’ surroundings

Would you like to explore more before returning home? Here are two options for a half-day tour. They are not included in the wine journey, but we will be happy to help you arrange a visit.

Matka Canyon is located 30 minutes west of Skopje. It is surrounded with mountains, beautiful nature and breathtaking landscapes. Here you can go on a boat trip or visit the ‘Vrelo cave’ which is considered to be one of the deepest underwater caves in Europe and the world. There are local tour guides that can take you on a half day trip

Mountain Vodno is just a short ride from The Marriott and offers breathtaking views, rich history, and natural beauty. Ascend via a scenic cable car to the Millennium Cross, one of the world's tallest crosses. From the summit, enjoy panoramic views of Skopje and the surrounding landscapes.

For the ones travelling with Wizzair we will organize transportation from the hotel to the airport in Skopje.

17:00 Departure to Torp Sandefjord

Flight departure from Skopje with direct flight to Torp Sandefjord (WizzAir).
